About the authors

Gilles Pol
Gilles has been working on several IT projects since 1999. He started of as a COBOL developer first on a Y2K project, later on a euro conversion project. Then, in 2002, he went off to travel around Australia and Indonesia for six months. During that time he decided that mainframes and COBOL were not his thing and he decided to switch to business intelligence.

From that moment Gilles has been involved in several datawarehousing and business intelligence projects from the beginning till the end. He has been performing generalist and specialist roles like (technical) project lead, architect, trainer, oracle warehouse builder and oracle BI specialist and Cognos consultant.

In 2007 he first heard of QlikView and in the beginning of 2008 he started working with QlikView.

William van Lith
Started to get interested in BI during his study, William decided to make it his profession after graduating in 2008 and become a business intelligence consultant.

From its start, William is involved with several proofs of concepts (SIB’s) and Qlikview installations for customers and offers Qlikview consult as a freelancer, optimally suiting the QlikView market needs to deliver flexible solutions.

Juan Martin

With ten years in the Information Technology arena, Juan Martin has developed a wide array of skills with a clear orientation towards business goals. In addition to leading BI projects, Juan participates in new opportunities and supports customers and partners of Inside Info, Qlikview’s master reseller in Australia. Before moving to Australia, Juan worked for Data IQ, QlikView’s master reseller in Argentina, developing business analysis solutions for several companies including Grupo Clarin, the largest national media company.

Before his involvement with QlikView, Juan worked for Ford Motor Company as a Project Manager, leading a team in charge of deploying and operating strategic systems for the Cost Accounting department. Since his beginnings working for Andersen Consulting/Accenture, Juan has participated in several big scale IT projects within the telecommunications industry.
